The Saga Continues…Issue 8
Saga keeps on surprising. This month’s cover hinted at some more backstory about Alana and we got a bit of it. We learned what it was like the first time our star-crossed lovers Alana and Marko meet (not pretty).
We see more of the horrifically-gross-swollen-balled tryclops; he is subdued and questioned by Marko and we learn that this planet may not be all it seems…
We learn that Barr, Marko’s father, had the purest of intentions when putting Alana to sleep and is busy making armor for his son’s new family.And strangely, we learn that the briefly-mentioned ex-fiancee of Marko, Gwendolyn, will be a character in this book. Likely a prominent one at that!
This issue continued the stellar storytelling and beautiful visuals you’ve come to expect; Vaughn deftly handles the action in three different theaters (and theoretically there is still theaters involving The Will, Prince Robot IV, Princess Robot, Vez of Wreath and Agent Gale of Landfall, plus the slave girl and Mama Sun of Sextillion.) What I’m saying is this book has got a lot of depth. This could be a long-running, Walking Dead-esque chronicle that lasts decades. and boy do I hope it does!
